CRIS Introduction – Manage & validate

Step 3. Manage your research outputs on CRIS

On your first log in to CRIS, please check and validate your research output.

  • Click on the ‘Personal’ button to open the main menu
  • Choose ‘My Research Outputs’ to open the records list
  • The button on the bottom of the listing will display the current status: ‘for validation’, ‘entry in progress’, ‘for re-validation’ or ‘validated’

To see more details and to change the status of the records, click on the title.
On the next window, check if all the details are correct, and change the status to ‘Entry in progress’.

Records with the status ‘Entry in progress’ will be checked for validation by the editorial team (from your faculty library).
Once the record has been validated, it will be available on your web page on the next day.

If you find a publication in your list that is not yours, you may disclaim it:

  1. Hover the cursor over the item, and click on the settings icon (on the right).
  2. On the pop-up window, type the reason you want this item to be removed from your list.
  3. After your editor will remove your name from the authors section of this publication, you will receive a notification.
  4. Check if the content is no longer visible on your research output.​

Your tasks will appear on the main page (on the right side of the screen) or on the Research Outputs category on the main menu.
The research outputs are categorized by the database they were imported from.

Using online sources:

  1. Click the ‘Personal’ button to open the main menu. Hover over the Research outputs category and click the ‘New +’ button.
  2. On the next window, click ‘Import from online source’.
  3. Select the relevant source and use the search engine to locate and choose your publication.
  4. Click on the title to check the article’s details. Click ‘Import’. If there are any details missing, please fill them manually. 
  5. Click ‘Import and Review’ to submit the request.

Using a file: BibTeX, RIS or CHERIF

  1. Click the ‘Personal’ button to open the main menu. Hover over the Research outputs category and click the ‘New +’ button.
  2. On the next window, click ‘Import from file’.
  3. Choose the relvant file format and follow the instructions.
