How to Choose in Which Journal to Publish?
Find the right journal for your publication based on research fields and quartile rankings. You may be eligible for up to a 100% discount when publishing in OA!
LiboFree Journal Finder is a system developed by the Technion Libraries to help researchers identify a relevant, high-impact journal based on research fields and quartile rankings (Q) from Journal Citation Reports (JCR).
The system also provides information about the Technion’s institutional agreements for open-access publishing discounts. You can search by journal title or by research field and view key details to help you select the most suitable journal for your publication.
Who is eligible for a discount or funding for OA publications through the Technion’s discount agreements?
Active Technion researchers whose primary institutional affiliation is the Technion Israel Institute of Technology and who have an active Technion email address. Just as importantly, listing the institutional affiliation accurately and as a primary affiliation is a necessary condition for receiving the benefits. The guide to listing the institutional affiliation was recently updated and includes detailed instructions and additional examples.
As researchers and faculty members, we want our research output to be credited to the Technion, associated with it properly, and contribute to its global rankings and funding. Therefore, it is important to ensure consistent and accurate listing of the institutional affiliation when submitting a scientific publication. Discounts or funding requests that will not include a correct and precise institutional affiliation will not be approved.
Please note: For discount agreements, it is always important to double check the information with the publishers’ websites through the relevant links. Each agreement is different and eligibility conditions may vary depending on the type of material submitted for publication, the type of journal (hybrid or fully open access), and other criteria.
In LiboFree you can find links to the different agreements by clicking on the publisher’s name, as well as in the list of publishers under discount agreements on our website.
