After thorough checks on the quality of Mendeley Reference Management, and following user dissatisfaction with the recent changes to the platform, our team tested the existing tools on the market and our current recommendation is to transfer academic materials from Mendeley to Zotero, which offers a professional and helpful solution.

The newly launched webpage on the libraries’ portal, dedicated to citation management tools, provides information on how to transition from Mendeley to Zotero. It also provides other recommendations for reference management.

Please note: for researchers and students who are in the process of writing, and are already working with Mendeley, it is not recommended to switch to another tool in the middle of a project.
