Library Services in the “Purple Badge” Format

Technion libraries operate in the “Purple Badge” format and according to Faculty decision.

We recommend contacting the relevant library prior your arrival and keeping abreast of its services.

You can contact us via email or submit a ticket via SysAid (5600). In light of the latest guidelines, phone calls might be delayed.

Group learning in the library will be allowed while keeping 2 meters distance from person to person.

Studying in a single room will be possible only in advance order.

The public computers complex will be closed. Users must be equipped with a personal laptop.

It is mandatory to wear masks while staying in the library.

Hands should be disinfected before and after any use of library collections, printers, copiers or any other public equipment.

Inquiries will be answered by phone, email and through the Technion Helpdesk (5600).

Individual / group guidance will only be done online.

Frontal guidance will not be provided.

The training will be accessible using remote control software – TeamViewer, Zoom. 

 

All digital library services, including the Technion Library portal, search engines, databases and online services are also accessible from home.

For your pleasure you can reserve an audiobook.

Books can only be returned to the return boxes outside each library. 

Alternatively and in advance coordination with the relevant library, books can be sent by registered mail or by courier service. 

No peripheral equipment will be loaned: chargers, headphones, laptops, calculators etc.

Books requests are available at any time via the Technion Libraries Portal or via the Technion App [Library- Library Search]. Borrowing the requested books will be possible after coordination.

You can fill an ILL form anytime.  

The department will only supply items depending on our providers’ availability.

The Historical Archive is open to visitors in advance coordination, under restrictive conditions and the Purple Badge guidelines.
