Automatic extension of due date

Library materials circulate for various periods of time, some of them can be renewed and some cannot.

All borrowed books that can be renewed, are automatically renewed by the library computer system (during the night) as long as:

  • the book has not been reserved by another patron

  • the current borrower's library record is not blocked

  • the current borrower has NO "late return" comments in his record or books that he still has not returned on time

Patrons receive e-mail reminders (to the e-mail in their library record) to return the books, 4 days before the due date.

This is just a courtesy and does not absolve the patrons from their responsibilities.

Patrons can see (and should check) the required return dates of borrowed materials in their Reader's Card in the library web catalog; they are responsible for returning materials on time.

DO NOT SEND REQUESTS TO RENEW BOOKS BY E-MAIL.
